Welcome to Coming Home, a series that explores the relationship between food and home. This week we spoke with Hala, from Beirut.
“Honestly it’s potatoes with eggs.
“It’s something my mom makes. She half fries them, and then she – inno obviously she puts salt, pepper, blah blah blah – and then when she cracks the egg over it, she continues to fry it.
“So it’s just like cubes of fried potatoes with eggs.
“I have it for lunch. I have like two plates of it with ketchup.
“She’s been making it for a long time. It’s the most basic shit ever, but it’s like my favorite dish.”
